~ Easter Reflections~

Hello, my blogging friend's I trust you had a great Easter. With your family and close friends on Easter Sunday. We went to church that morning for mass to remember what Easter was really all about and to just remember that our problems might not be as bad as others. And to be Thankful for everything we have.
Then we drove to Indio too eat an early Easter dinner with my family. After we all eat we decided to get some fresh air in my mothers front garden, and then it hit a 7.2 earthquake in Baja Mexico which is about 4 to 5 hours drive from my moms house I tell you the earth sure did shake! And it seemed like a while but Thank god there was no damage to our family or the house.
Of course we tried to call friends and other family out of town but the cell phones were not working because every one else in Southern Ca. were doing the same thing. But we are grateful that there was not a high death toll and a lot of damage. Now that is also something to be Thankful about. We arrived home later that night and we were grateful there was no damage at home. Our grandfather clocks stopped of course with all that swaying and shaking but thats it and our girls were fine also.
I took a picture of this wonderful French cast iron Cross that Raymond, bought at the Long Beach flea market last spring. We have it in the garden in the back yard with a white Lady banks rose growing around it. We just luv the look of it and also the meaning of it, during these troubling times I ponder at it from time to time and give Thanks that Raymond and I are well and safe. And that our families are the same.
I pray, you and yours are the same......Julian
